Would You Rather
The simplest game in PartyRush. The app shows a binary dilemma. Everyone privately picks Red or Blue. The split is revealed with vote percentages. Going against the majority earns bonus points.
What you're doing
The app picks a curated dilemma โ "Would you rather be famous and broke or rich and unknown?" Each player privately picks one side (Red or Blue) on a big tactile card on their phone. Once everyone's locked in, the reveal shows the split as percentages, animated bars per side. Minority voters get a small bonus, rewarding contrarian thinking. Then the next dilemma loads.
It's the lowest-friction game in the app. Pick a side, watch the room, repeat.
How to play
- Dilemma appears with two big colored cards.
- Everyone privately taps a side. Lockable once selected.
- Reveal with animated split percentages.
- Repeat for 5 rounds default.
Scoring
- Minority side: +2 each.
- Tie: everyone +1.
- Majority side: 0.
The minority bonus is deliberate: rewards genuine, weird answers and discourages everyone clustering on the "safe" choice.
Strategy
- Answer honestly first, then think about strategy. Gaming the minority bonus is the wrong instinct โ if everyone goes contrarian, "contrarian" becomes the majority.
- Watch faces during the lock-in. You can read the split before the reveal.
- Don't dwell. 30 seconds per dilemma max. The game is rapid-fire by design.
When to pick this
Would You Rather is the perfect warmup before heavier games. Three rounds takes about three minutes. Great icebreaker for groups with new acquaintances โ answering "would you rather have free travel or free food" reveals personality without forcing confessions. Savage mode pushes into dating/relationship dilemmas โ pick that with established friend groups only.
