Bomb Game
One category. A rotation of players. Five seconds each. Name something โ anything โ that fits the category before the timer hits zero. Miss it and you explode. Last one standing wins.
What you're doing
Bomb Game is the tensest game in PartyRush. The app picks one category for the entire game โ for example, "Things in a hospital." Players are placed in a rotation. The current player has five seconds to type any valid answer in the category. Submit before the timer ends โ bomb passes to the next player. Time out โ you're eliminated and the next player gets a fresh five seconds. You can't reuse words anyone else has said โ there's a live "already said" feed running underneath the game.
Survive until you're the last one. The last survivor wins big. Earlier eliminated players score a small amount each based on how long they lasted.
How to play
- App picks a category. Same category for the whole game.
- Random starting player. They have five seconds (with a 750ms sync lead so all phones agree).
- Type an answer. Anything in the category that hasn't been said.
- Submit = bomb passes, next player's 5 seconds begin.
- Timeout = ๐ฅ you're eliminated.
- Loop until one player remains.
Scoring
- Last alive: +5.
- Second-to-last eliminated: +N where N depends on group size.
- Each earlier elimination scores progressively less.
- First eliminated: 0.
Survival tips
- Don't save your best answer. The first easy thing that comes to mind is the right move. Take it.
- Watch the "already said" list. Especially as it grows. Eight rounds in, the obvious answers are gone and you need lateral thinking.
- Type one-handed. Easier to hit submit fast. Most timeouts are typing speed, not creativity.
- Don't panic-type nonsense. The app accepts any submission, but if you type "hospital" when the category IS hospital things, technically valid โ but expect the other players to mock you for it.
When to pick this
Bomb Game is the high-energy peak of a session. Best at 5-8 players where the rotation feels constant. Below 4 players, it ends too fast. Above 10, you wait too long for your turn. Pick this when energy is up and you want to make the room react.
